montblanc 19.02.11

Snaps of our walk 19thFeb on the roof of rthe restored Hermita de Sant Joan looking out over the Conca Barberá. Nearly 50 of us did the corcular walk from the medieval centre of Montblanc below and up through the pine woods and back on an alternative route stepping down the ancient walled terraces, taking a pause for beers outside the towns walls before a typical lunch at Cal Magret kindly arranged by Nichola Gregory. We all signed the book at the hermita, encouraged to do so by local members of the Montblanc community who continue their 20 years work on the hermita's restoration. The more signatures there are the better the chances of the local Mayor providing equipment and material for their good work!

Super walk led by Bob Flory on his first Witty Walk 29th Jan 2011 the 20th year of these walks! The forecast for the day was heavy rain but that was shrugged off and there was no question of cancellation. Good for a laugh as we strolled about the sunny southern ridges of Montseny!
